Can Kidney Disease Patients Have Apples?

Can kidney disease patients have apples? “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. “An apple a day keeps kidney stone away”. There are many saying which say apples are good for our body. If we are diagnosed with kidney disease, can we have apples as usual? Yes. Apples do not contain so much sugar, which is suitable for patients with diabetes. Apples do not contain so much water, which is acceptable for kidney disease patients with edema. In addition, apples also do not contain rich sodium, phosphorus and potassium, so even in advanced stage of kidney disease, we can have apples, in which, people will suffer from disorder of electrolyte and people will have high sodium, phosphorus and potassium.
However, some fruits are not suitable for kidney disease patients. For example, bananas should be limited for patients with diabetes and diabetic nephropathy, especially for those who have developed into uremia stage. Watermelon is not suitable for those who have edema, which will worsen edema.
