Before we explain how to treat SLE with ankle edema, we should firstly know
why edema occurs in SLE kidney disease.
On one hand, the renal glomerular filtrate rate decreases, but the absorption
of water and sodium in renal tubules is normal, which leads to the retention of
water and sodium, thus causing the increased permeability of the capillaries in
the whole body. In this case, water retention appears in the tissue space and
edema may appear in ankle. The above condition is usually seen in glomerular
nephritis.
On the other hand, with the development of SLE kidney disease, a large amount
of proteinuria appears, in which protein is lost, which leads to low protein in
plasma. The osmotic pressure in plasma declines, so liquid flows and edema comes
into being. In this case, ankle edema will also appear accordingly.
Since that we have understood how it comes into being, we can think of
specific therapy to treat it. After we treated it well, we will accordingly
solve the edema problem in ankle.
We mainly treat SLE nephritis with Chinese Medicine and stem cell transplant,
which focus on repairing the damaged epithelial cells by dilating blood vessels,
anti-inflammation, anti-coagulation and degradation. After the epithelial cells
are restored, they can recover its filtrating barrier function, so that protein
will not be leaked out any more. Besides, we also have HA130 resin hemoperfusion
apparatus in our hospital, which is specifically aiming at absorbing the immune
complex.
Stem cell’s most important function is differentiation and to increase the
immune ability of patients. Stem cell can regenerate into many capillary
endothelial cells and repair the damaged renal membrane, repair the filtration
membrane, improve the filtration function, thus improving the renal glomerular
filtration.
In addition, stem cell can also generate into munologic balance cells such as
Ts cells, Th cells, etc. Stem cell can also balance the immunoreaction, diminish
a variety of factors which can cause renal glomerular disease, avoid the
continuous damage to renal tubules, thus reviving renal function consequently.
In this case, the edema in ankle will disappear as well.
