Can Atrophic Kidney Be Treated

A normal person’s kidney is on average 10 to 12 cm in length, 5 to 7 cm in width and 3 to 5 cm in thickness. However, with kidney disease developing, there will be more damaged intrinsic cells in the kidney and even necrotic cells, which lead to renal fibrosis, thus causing atrophic kidney and patients with renal failure have to take dialysis.
Realizing the side effects and complications of dialysis, patients hope that they can get rid of dialysis one day and they also want to know whether atrophic kidney can be treated. The answer is absolutely. In China, we can try our best to achieve for we have the combination therapy on the basis of both western medicine and Chinese medicine. We mainly use immunotherapy in our hospital.
Generally, as long as patients still have urine, it indicates that there is still blood flow in the kidney. In the kidney, there are still nephrons which work in the kidney. In this case, the medicine can be transplanted to the kidney, which can extend blood vessels, improve micro-blood vessels, repair the damaged intrinsic cells and revive renal function.
How do we achieve it? Firstly, Chinese Medicine is applied, which contains many active materials and can relieve the insufficiency of blood and oxygen in the kidney, thus improving the blood circulation, including micro-blood circulation. Next, since the blood circulation is improved, toxins in the blood including immune complex will be discharged out together with urine, which can create a cleaner environment and repair the damaged intrinsic cells in the kidney.
How to deal with those necrotic cells? For this, we use stem cell, which can differentiate into cells which can replace those necrotic ones. Stem cell can also increase the immune ability of patients, which can prevent the recurrence of kidney disease at the same time. The stem cell therapy is convenient and has no side effects, which becomes more and more popular in patients with atrophic kidney.
