Identification to Different Proteins in Urine

Protein in urine is an important evidence which can identify kidney disease. However, we should know that protein in urine is influenced by many factors. In other words, sometimes, protein in urine will not be caused by kidney disease. So once protein in urine is found, people should not panic and they should do further examination. Proteinuria can be divided into pathological one and functional one.
Functional proteinuria
Experts in kidney field point out that functional protein in urine is usually seem in febrile proteinuria due to high temperature or heat. Renal failure can also lead to protein in urine. After exercise, long time standing, hard work, protein in urine will also appear. These kinds of protein in urine are mild and can diminish themselves. In other words, they exist for the time being.
Pathological proteinuria
According to the origin of protein, pathological proteinuria can be divided into renal glomerular proteinuria, renal tissue proteiuria, over flow proteinuria. In addition, pathological proteinuria can also be due to disease lesion in bladder, ureter, renal pelvis, etc.
Further analysis, according to the molecular weight, proteinuria can be divided into selective proteinuria and nonselective proteinuria.
Selective proteinuria
Selective proteinuria indicates that the protein which is discharged from urine is mainly micromolecule albumin. It proved that the permeability of renal glomerular filtration membrane increases. But the disease lesion is not so serious.
Nonselective proteinuria
Nonselective proteinuria refers that in urine, there is not only micromolecule but also macromocules, which indicates that the renal glomerular filtration membrane is damaged seriously. So nonselective proteinuria usually is seen in those with FSGS, membrane kidney disease, etc.
How to deal with protein in urine if people are diagnosed with kidney disease?
Generally, there are mainly two therapies: hormone and Chinese Medicine. However, hormone can just diminish symptoms and can not prevent it from recurring. In contrast, Chinese Medicine can repair renal glomerular basilar membrane from root. After it is repaired well, protein will not discharge from the filtration barrier.
