Why Kidney Disease Leads to Pain in the Back

1. Pain in the back can be caused by swollen kidney in renal parenchyma. It is usually seen in acute renal glomerular nephritis, progressive renal glomerular nephritis, and so on. The swollen kidney is stretched by renal capsule membrane patients will feel dull pain. Kidney disease patients can have gross hematuria, edema and high blood pressure at the same time. It can be diagnosed by urinalysis.
2. Pain in kidney disease can also be caused by infectious diseases such as nephrapostasis, acute pyelonephritism, and so on. It is mostly seen in bacteria infection. Patients with kidney disease usually have pain in one side and can not bear when pressed or knocked. Patients usually have fever and chill at the same time. It can be found out by blood test and urine test.
3. Pain can also be caused by renal cysts. If the cysts are big enough, they will press the tissues and stretch the renal capsule, which leads to continuous swollen pain and dull pain.
4. Kidney stone can also cause pain in the back. If the stone lies in the urinary tract, colic pain will take place, which can also spread. In this case, patients can also sweat, vomit and they can even have gross hematuria.
