Why do some patients with Diabetes Kidney Disease or Diabetic Nephropathy
have itch in skin? Diabetic Nephropathy is a common kidney disease which is
caused by long time diabetes. It is also a common complication of diabetes. In
the early stage, there is usually no obvious symptom. With the disease
developing, kidney becomes swollen, and the filtration of renal glomerulus
increases, which leads to high filtration condition. Then, micro-albumin
appears. Later, continuous proteinuria, edema, high blood pressure will all
follow one by one, which indicates that patients with Diabetes Kidney Disease
become into renal failure stage or renal insufficiency stage.
However, some patients will also have itch in skin, which even make people
can not sleep well. Generally, itch appears in the end stages of Diabetes Kidney
Disease, the reasons of which go as follows:
1. Itch in skin can be caused by the retention of nitrogen metabolism
product, which will stimulate skin and sebaceous gland and leads to shrink of
sweat gland, thus causing dry skin. In this case, itch appears.
2. In the end stage of Diabetes Kidney Disease, the level of blood glucose
rises, which also leads to skin itch.
In addition, itch in skin can also make patients have nerve lesion, which
belongs to nervous dermatosis. Itch can also cause allergic reaction, which also
leads to skin problems.
How to solve it? Treating diabetes kidney disease is the best solution. In
our Hospital, we mainly use immunotherapy for Diabetic Nephropathy is caused by
disorder of immune. Stem cell is a part of the immunotherapy. After stem cells
are injected into patients’ body, they will differentiate like seed, which will
grow in kinds of tissues. A certain amount of autologous stem cell will
differentiate into cells which can replace the damaged pancreas islet B cells
and secrete insulin once again, thus treating diabetes. As for the repair of
kidney damaged cells, we use Chinese Medicine.
