Why are patients with diabetes easy to get infection? In this passage, we
will explain it from the following aspects:
Firstly, long time high blood sugar can lead to influence. Briefly speaking,
diabetes means that there is high blood sugar in patients with diabetes in
clinic. And long time high blood glucose can really cause a series of damage
such as secondary kidney disease which is called Diabetic Nephropathy for short
in clinic. On one hand, long time high blood can lead to low immune function,
the block of blood circulation. When the virus, bacteria, and other chemical
toxins invade us, our response ability will decrease, which make patients get
infected easily. On the other hand, long time high blood sugar can provide an
environment for the proliferation of bacteria.
Secondly, a series of complication of diabetes can lead to diabetic
microangiopathy, which leads to the change of blood vessels structure and
abnormal function, thus causing partial block of blood circulation. In this
case, the blood supply in tissues will decrease, which influences the response
to the infection. Due to insufficiency of blood and oxygen, the frequency of
bacteria infection will rise accordingly, which is also the main reason why
there is necrosis of renal pelvis.
Thirdly, diabetes can also lead to the lesion of peripheral nerve and
autonomic nerves. In clinic, patients feel abnormal in the ending of feet and
hands. In this case, patients become not sensitive to the stimulation from
outside. Once patients suffer from damage, it is not easy to be found out, thus
leading to infection. In addition, due to bad circulation around, the wound is
not easy to heal.
Fourthly, there are also other factors which can lead to the infection of
diabetes. If patients with long time malnutrition and low protein in plasma or
hypoproteinemia, the generation of immune globulin and antibody will decrease,
infection will take place easily.
The above mentioned are about the infection which diabetes may cause. So we
can also get a conclusion that it is very necessary to control the blood sugar.
As a matter of fact, because it is a micro-blood vessel disease, if not
controlled well, it can lead to other disease such as kidney disease, and so on.
