PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) is a genetic disease which usually happens in
a family’s several members. When people are more than 35 years old and usually
for women, after they give birth to a baby, they begin to have symptoms such as
backache, proteinuria, hematuria and so on.
1. Why is there protein in urine?
At the above mentioned age, cysts have grown up with time passing by and
begin to squeeze the renal intrinsic cells and tissues nearby. Generally, for a
normal person, there is only a little amount of protein leaking out every day
because protein belongs to bigger molecules which should not leak out. With time
passing by, cysts which have grown up began to press the renal intrinsic cells
and tissues around them, thus causing damage in the renal cells, including renal
glomerular basilar membrane and filtration membrane, in which there are pores.
If the pores are bigger than the normal range, there will be bigger molecules
which leaks out, such as protein, red blood cells, which form proteinuria and
hematuria in clinic. The protein in urine looks foam in the urine, which does
not disappear for a long time.
2. How to treat protein in urine for PKD patients in regular or conventional
therapy?
Regular treatment for diminishing protein in urine is large dosage of
hormone, which can indeed help diminish the protein in urine for the time being.
However, after infection or flu, protein in urine will come into being again. As
we mentioned above, the damage in the renal glomerular filtration membrane takes
place, which hormones can not deal with. Is there an effective measure?
3. How to treat PKD with Chinese herbs- Chinese Medicine?
Chinese Medicine is an advanced application of traditional Chinese herbs and
is applied through osmosis. PKD patients can lie down and the medicine packs can
be pressed under the lower back of patients.
Active materials in Chinese Medicine will play roles in the surface of the
cysts, extend the blood vessels in blood walls around, accelerate the blood
circulation of the cysts wall, increase the permeability of the cyst wall,
decline the inner pressure and accelerate the reabsorption of water in cysts to
blood vessels, thus shrinking the cysts. It can also extend all levels of
arteries, improve the insufficiency of blood and oxygen in renal tissues, thus
repairing the intrinsic cells thus rebuilding renal structure and reviving renal
function. What’s more, it has no side effects compared with hormones.
In this way, protein in urine can be diminished and PKD patients can gain
healthy once more.
