Stem Cell Can Help Uremia Patients Get off Dialysis

When people are suffering from uremia, symptoms such as fatigue, proteinuria, hematuria, pain in lower back, anemia and even nausea and vomiting. Creatinine is as high as more than 707umol/L, which means that toxins accumulate into the body due to declined kidney function. In this case, most people have begun to take dialysis.
As we all know, every uremia patient wants to get off dialysis for they all realize that on one hand, dialysis can only help clear away the toxins and can not repair the damage and on the other hand, dialysis will also lead to some complications. So kidney transplant and stem cells become heat for uremia patients, the former of which is difficult to get and the latter of which is much easily to harvested and convenient. In this passage, we mainly introduce how stem cells help uremia patients get off dialysis.
It is known that from the view of pathology, there is damage when kidney is in disorder especially for those in uremia. What’s more, there have been dead cells with kidney disorder develops. Both western medicine and Chinese herbs can not solve this problem, which influences the recover of the uremia patients.
Stem cells possess the self-renewing ability which means stem cells can regenerate mass of off-springs that may have the same characteristics as the original stem cells. In addition, stem cells also have the potential of differentiating into functional cells to form new tissues. When stem cell is transfused into the body of kidney patients, because of its “homing ability”, it would go to the kidneys and would differentiate into the kidney intrinsic cells, replacing the already dead kidney cells, and repairing the impaired kidney cells and helping uremia patients get off dialysis.
